The government authorities in Iran are trying to send many signals to the West, especially to the United States that they are eager to start nuclear activities negotiations. In the past few days, the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran have repeatedly admitted that they are ready to resume negotiations on the issue of uranium enrichment.

The turn of the religious regime’s foreign policy began on the day when hundreds of missiles and drones of the Islamic Republic were shot down by the coalition forces led by the United States before reaching their destination (Israel). This incident meant that the deterrence forces of the Islamic Republic were not capable of protecting the regime and keeping the enemies of the religious government away. The events after that show that Israel has increased its attacks on the ruling regime in Tehran and proxy forces without restraint and concern. With such a situation, the Islamic regime seeks to start nuclear activities negotiations with the Western powers to maybe ward off possible dangers for some time through diplomacy.

The signals sent to the West are not only the officials of the Islamic Republic’s statements of changing positions. Among the latest signals, we can mention the non-delivery of ballistic missile lancers to Russia and the amnesty of Shervin Haji Poor (a well-known music figure who won a Grammy Award for his protest song). The religious government hopes that the West will like these signals.

Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is accompanying Iran’s new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, said that after the end of the UN General Assembly, he will stay in New York for a longer period to make preparations for negotiations.
