The balance between the desire to obtain the resources of nature and the establishment of security
Humanity’s greatest achievement has been to make a balance between the desire to obtain the rare resources of nature and the establishment of “security”. Unfortunately, religious governments and their followers do not understand this. In the following, I will explain this misunderstanding in the simplest possible way.
The history of human civilization is an effort to establish and continue social life. Humans like any other social beings, realized that the best way to access the rare resources of nature is to create a community. Ethnicity, race, religion, and the like were criteria for community building.
The desire for rare resources of nature has not been an alone effective factor in the community-building process. This “desire” always caused conflicts and financial and human losses. Wars are an inevitable disaster caused by the “desire for rare resources” and humanity had to find a solution.
In other words, making a balance between the “desire for the rare resources of nature” and the establishment of “security” has been an indicator of human ability and creativity in every era of civilization. Over time, more civilized forms of community-building have developed. The modern era and the formation of the modern state have been the Golding point of this process.
The nation-states are the most important achievement of human efforts to making the balance between the desire to obtain rare resources of natural and the security. Humanity has learned from experience that transcending ethnic and religious categories and establishing governance from civil-political society in a specific territory can provide a stable and relatively favorable balance.
After experiencing a long sectarian and religious war, Europe realized that with the creation of national governments (the Treaty of Westphalia), it was possible to achieve stability and institutionalization of more stable legal regimes in international relations.
carrying national signs indicates a person’s dependence on a government with specific territorial and sovereign characteristics, therefore, no point is considered to compare people with each other. The national flag is not a sign of the superiority of a nation over others.
It does not indicate superior intelligence and race, nor does it indicate absolute truth, nor does it even indicate being different. It is only a sign of dependence on the territory and the established government.
The insistence of Islamists to display religious beliefs
Unfortunately, Islamists [1] are unable to understand this issue. They think that insisting and emphasizing their religious identities is their religious duty and they should show it in every situation. They don’t understand that if it is emphasized that athletes and spectators only participate in competitions with national signs, it is an achievement that is the result of thousands of years of war and peace and finding a balance between the desire to obtain for rare resources of nature and security.
Imagine that in the Paris Olympics, the followers of any religion would consider themselves followers of the truth and others as infidels after displaying religious beliefs. Do not doubt that the ground for the death of thousands of people was prepared.
